Writer's Circle

The Writers' Circle is a club that provides an opportunity for people interested in writing to meet under the auspices of The LIFE Institute.

This is a club that meets twice a month via Zoom to do some impromptu writing and to share works that have been prepared prior to the class. Each participant has the opportunity to share a piece of writing no longer than 10 minutes in length when read aloud. It can be fiction, memoir, essay, or poetry. The rest of the circle then discusses it and provides positive feedback.

It’s a great way to exercise your creativity and meet new people with interesting ideas to share. The club will run on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Day: First and Third Wednesday of each month, starting Wednesday September 18
Time: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Location: ONLINE VIA ZOOM UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Coordinator: Tamara Handler - tamara@zipperup.org/ info@thelifeinstitute.ca

Even if you were a member last year, you will need to rejoin for the 2025-2026 year.

ClubHub for LIFE: Connection, Conversation & Co-working

ClubHub is a casual, online space where LIFE members have the opportunity to connect, to co-work and/or to have focused conversations. We create “breakout” spaces that you can move in and out of (we’ll show you how!).  We invite you to bring your own topics and we will help to kickstart your conversations. We invite you to use this space to focus on that writing project you can’t seem to make time for. We invite you to be present in one of our online “lounges” - a place with no demands - where you make of it what you will. We offer occasional “learning” sessions that you may join if you wish. And, we invite you to offer to host a session of your own. Make of it what you will. It’s yours.

Schedule: For current schedule, links & other info, please email   howtobeaperennial@gmail.com

Value to Participants:

  • Exclusive Community Interaction: You will meet other people who, like you, signed up for LIFE (or are exploring the possibility).  Find out what else you have in common.
  • Flexible Participation & Engagement:

Each session is brand new - you can come and go as you wish, though you might miss some fabulous conversations! Bring a burning question to the group, and benefit from the insight and wisdom of others -- or simply join a room that piques your curiosity.

  • Connect with Ease.

A low-stress, low stakes environment that you may enter and connect from the comfort of your own home.

Your hosts, Michelle Ransom & Lindsay McDonald are LIFE Institute instructors and members, as well as professional workshop facilitators at The Perennial Way. We meet regularly online, and are open to in-person gatherings in the future. Read more  HERE , and see event info in our  FB group.   We hope to see you soon.

Even if you were a member last year, you will need to rejoin for the 2025-2026 year.
